Reflecting the growth and strategic importance of the neuromuscular therapeutic area, the company has recently created a new role as Head of Biology, headlining a new departmental structure, to support the existing and world leading expertise that they have within other areas of small molecule pharmaceutical research.

To fill this critical post, we are now seeking an experienced Biologist, Physiologist, or Pharmacologist (PhD level) to head up, lead and drive this new function. You will need to be an experienced leader, capable of managing a growing department whilst also driving the Biology research strategy. Ideally you will have a proven track record within Neuromuscular diseases and have worked as a Team Leader/Lab Head in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company. General management skills will be key in this role and it is important that the successful candidate has been in a leadership position for a minimum of five years. Experience with Pharmacokinetics and ADME (in-vivo profiling) is an absolute must, as well as insight and involvement in Drug Development and Discovery. Furthermore, your background is in neurological, neuromuscular, or musculoskeletal diseases and you have published papers in these areas. Use of biochemical and cellular assays, patent writing, project management, and international experience round out your profile.
